Minutes of the first meeting of the Tri-State chapter
held on June 22, 1996

- Formation of Tri-State chapter
- What are we trying to accomplish?
- Build up the First Millennial Fondation by providing the "Human Touch", and mutual
help to local members, as well as moral support to help grow
and achieve the goals of First Millennial Fondation (these
goals include bringing a biological presense out into space).
- Why are we doing this?
- To one day become colonists on Aquarius
- Meeting Schedule
- Roughly once every two months
- Next meeting scheduled for September 14, place to be determined
- Discussion of Future Goals of Our Chapter
- Short Term Goals
- Keep current chapter members involved, and contact all northeastern Core members to let them know what we're up to.
- Get in contact with other First Millennial Fondation chapters for advice.
- To each bring at least one new member to next meeting.
- Mid Term Goals
- Split into three self-sustaining chapters by state by December, 1996
- Long Term Goals
- Election of Officers
- President- Nick
- Secretary- Dmitri
- VP/Treasurer- Sam
- Mascot- Sandy (the dog)
- Discussion of methods for increasing membership both in First Millennial Fondation and in Tri-State chapter
- Membership Structure
- All chapter members must first be First Millennial Fondation members (Core or Cladding) and will be called colonists
- All perspective members not yet involved with First Millennial Fondation but who are interested in some day joining will be called pledges.
- Membership Pricing
- Chapter dues will be $12/year, and will be prorated at $1/month. Chapter dues are to be paid in July.
- All attendant members paid dues.
- Membership tracking (mailing lists & dues renewal) to be handled by Secretary, Letter to be sent with newsletter
- Discussion of Millennial Ventures
- Venture capital idea proposed by William was positively received by all members
- William will report more details to the group as they develope
- Publication of Newsletter
- Payed for with dues (this may change as we grow)
- Nick will maintain it
- He will accept articles from all who wish to contribute
- Getting It Out There
- Post Office mail
- Exchange with other First Millennial Fondation chapters
- Placement in colleges/Universities
- Consignment with book stores
- Issues To Be Brought Up At Summer Conclave
- What kind of support do we want from First Millennial Fondation?
